Hi Patrick,
funnily enough I found your site just this week myself! This week I have found so many great new sites, and it all started from me doing my first roundup post and following up on some of the comments!

My RSS reader is now starting to overflow!

On the subject of a case study, I will certainly try and be as transparent as possible with my progress. However, I don’t like giving out precise niche details for obvious reasons.

I’m so glad it was useful to you. I just wish I’d had such a clear system right from the outset, but I suppose that is all part of the learning experience.

I tend to mull over my niche ideas for quite a while these days. I’ve had so many “light bulb” moments which just don’t stand up to closer scrutiny. I think any idea has got to start from the premise of having something useful to give to your visitors, whether that’s info, entertainment or whatever. Secondly, how can it be monetized? Then finally is it a niche I can succeed in?

that’s by far the best approach, don’t take on too many projects at one time. Good luck with the expansion!

I may do more on this subject, I have been toying with a full review of MNF now that I’ve upgraded to version 5.
